All network and computing services at St Vladimir's Seminary require you to have an account and password. You may never use someone else's account or give someone access to seminary computing and networking resources using your account information. Failure to abide by these core principles will result in suspension. We are very serious about this policy. Please help us keep our network secure.

Accounts for students

Accounts are established during orientation week by TechSupport. You must see us during one of the posted sessions. Please do not delay the receiving of your account information. Please see the Main Bulletin Board for information on signing up for your account. You will be unable to participate fully in academic classes without an account.

Students working for various on-campus departments may require an account to log on to the Seminary's database system. This account must be requested by the appropriate department head at least one week in advance. This is a "privileged" account. The department head is responsible for ensuring that student workers are adequately trained and supervised in proper use of the Unix system and the seminary's databases and related programs.

Accounts for staff and faculty

Accounts for staff and faculty are established at time of hire. Full information should be received at that time.

Accounts for spouses of faculty, staff, and current students

Spouses of faculty, staff, and current students of the seminary may receive limited login privileges primarily for the purposes of sending and receiving e-mail. These spouse accounts will have security privileges as determined by the Director of Systems. Generally, these accounts will be used in conjunction with the seminary's webmail system for routine e-mail usage either remotely or in the Library Reading Room during Library business hours.

Accounts are not available for non-spouses and children.

Technical support is not available for family accounts.
