St Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary - TechSupport TechSupport |
We are pleased to present our "ecampus" server for use by St Vladimir's Seminary faculty and students. In your courses you will be required to log on to and participate in a "virtual course" on the ecampus web site.
You access your course, open your web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer 6.x or Netscape Navigator 6.x or Apple Safari) and enter the following URL:
http://ecampus.svots.edu
It would be a good idea to bookmark this site for easy access to courses later.
You will then see a web page listing the various courses available to you on this site. Click on the course in which you would like to participate. If you are not logged on, you will be presented with a web page asking you to log on to the site.
Two prompts are provided. In the appropriate boxes, type in the SVOTS username and password you use to log on to the Windows workstations in the library etc. You were provided with this information at registration.

Password:
If you have trouble logging on, or have forgotten your username and password, visit our TechSupport staff at times and locations as posted during the academic year.
You will then select the course in which you would like to enroll. The system will ask you: "You are about to enroll yourself as a member of this course. Are you sure you wish to do this?" If you are supposed to take the course in question, choose the "Yes" option.
You will then be shown the main course web page which will allow you to begin using the course, reading documents, and participating in online discussions.
If you have difficulties arriving at this point, consider the following possibilities:
Am I connected to the Internet properly? (Can I access a different web site?)
Did I enter the correct URL (Web Address)? Even one letter wrong or an extra space will give you an error message.
Did I enter the correct logon and password information? Again, a wrong letter, a capital when it should be lower case, a space: all of these will give you an error message.
If you continue to experience difficulty, please visit our TechSupport staff as described above or send us e-mail: techsupport@svots.edu.
All the best from TechSupport as you continue your learning experience online!
